How To Make A Living Off Online Surveys

This tip sheet is all written from my personal experience taking online surveys. It is very possible to make a full time living off of them. I have for the last year or so. I will not bother bragging but lets just say that I do not have to wake up in the morning for work.

So here are some paid online survey tips that will help you easily reach your goals.

The first and most obvious thing you will need to do is join some survey groups. You should never have to pay for access to a list of these sites. The people that charge you for a list are simply trying to make money off of you. They are freely available around the Internet.

(IMPORTANT) I highly recommend that you go and get a separate email address. This is simply so your surveys and personal email do not get mixed up. Do not use this email for anything else and check it frequently.

Here is a list of trusted sites that I use and highly recommend. They have always been good on paying out and most let you choose between payment via check or PayPal.

However I want to warn you that you should stay away from groups that use the point system. With these groups usually takes 10,000 points to get $10 and the average survey is only 100 points or less. With the survey groups I use it is rare to see a survey below $5.

Some Great Paid Online Survey Groups

It is highly suggested that you bookmark that page and make sure you sign up for all of them and additionally bookmark each of the individual sites login pages. This way you will not loose them.

It is important to be a member of at least 5 groups. This is the fist major survey taking tip and it is a vital part of making some serous money with paid online surveys.

Now that you have got a new survey email address and have signed up for at least 5 different groups you are ready to start making some money.

(IMPORTANT) The first thing you should do on any group that you join is fill out the profile survey and any additional profile booster surveys. Many of the sites will not pay you for this kind of survey. However it will get you more surveys and higher paying surveys in the long run. It also helps the company send you surveys that you may be interested in (special interest surveys).

(OPTIONAL) One sneaky little trick you can do to multiply your earnings is create another email and another account for each membership with completely different profile survey. This way you can get even more surveys and of course even more money. I suggest using some body close to yous information. Preferably a spouse since the groups will not let you have two accounts with the same name and address.

During the screening to qualify for most paid online surveys you will be asked if you work in a certain kind of advertising business, some type of market research or a particular industry. You answer to these kind of questions should typically be “No”. The reason for that is that people working in some market research related businesses are not wanted as surveys participants. And so, if you answer “Yes” you will not qualify for 80-95% of all paid surveys.

It is also very recommended that you take advantage of some free software that automatically fills out fields for you. This way you will not have to keep on filling out the basic fields like your name, etc... Utilizing this software will save you quite a bit of time and ultimately make you more money.

I recommend using either RoboForm or the using the Autofill feature in the Google Toolbar.

Now that you have your poop in a group it is time to start raking in the green taking paid online surveys. Here are a few things that will help you get more and higher paying surveys.

Most importantly make sure that you fill out each and every survey that you receive. Even if you are not interested in the subject or it does not pay that much or even at all. A lot of the time these surveys are simply considered as a qualifier to a much higher paying survey. It is their way to rule out people who are not really interested.

Second make sure that you take your surveys in a timely manor. Preferably as soon as you notice them. Most companies will send you a notification so make sure to check your email at least once a day. You do not have to hover over the computer all day but the sooner you fill out your surveys the more they will give you.

If you follow those two tips alone you will start not only receiving more surveys but ones that pay you more. From my experience it seems that you need to get in good with the group leaders. So make sure to check for and fill out your surveys often.

It also pays to check your dashboards once a day as some services will put bonus surveys and contests in there and not notify you. I also like to do this instead of checking my email since I have a certain time of the day that I fill out my paid online surveys. I truly treat it as a job and it pays like one (usually better). Although email is easier for most people.

(IMPORTANT) One more tip that I want to make sure you get is to keep your browser clean. After visiting one of the survey sites and filling out every survey that they have given to you, make sure to clear your cookies. I will first explain how to do this and then why you should.

On Fire Fox – In the toolbar at the top of the browser click Tools -> Options -> Privacy Tab -> and “Clear Now” under private data

On Internet Explorer – In the toolbar at the top of the browser click Tools -> Internet Options -> General Tab -> then click the Delete Cookies button under Temporary Internet Files

The main reason that you will want to do this is so that you are sure to get credit for every survey you fill out. I have noticed that some companies have their surveys posted on several paid online survey groups. If you have already filled out that survey on a different site the company can tell by the cookie that was put on your computer. Then they will not pay you for filling it out the second time. So simply clear your cookies between visiting different paid survey groups.

(IMPORTANT) If you want to make more money there is another thing you can do. Be strait and to the point. Just make sure to get your point across and answer the question at hand. Do not go off talking about anything else or giving up information that was not asked for. This keep the whole process speedy and streamlined. Giving you more time to fill out surveys or do whatever it is you want to do with your new income.

In closing it is handy if you rate any survey groups that you may have joined. This way others can tell if it is a good service or not. So after you have used the groups that we provided you with go back to our recommended paid survey groups. Then leave your rating.
